Raleigh Christmas Parade

This morning our family went to the Raleigh Christmas Parade with Grandma Barbara and cousin Harper. The weather was sunny but chilly with temps in the 40's, so we bundled up in our coats, hats, and gloves. All of us had a great time seeing the marching bands, floats, balloons, and dancers. The parade was 1.4 miles long and lasted from 9:40 A.M. until noon. It was crowded with around 60,000 people, but we had a clear, unobstructed view of the parade in front of NC State Capitol. Going to the parade was a fun way to kick off the holiday season with our family!

Cousins Hadley (4), Harper (5), and Savannah (9)

Hadley and Harper found some big, beautiful leaves at the parade:

After the parade, all of us ate lunch at Red, Hot, and Blue. The BBQ, ribs, corn bread muffins, and baked beans were delicious!

After lunch, we ate dessert (ice cream for the girls and crumb cake and German chocolate cake for the adults) at the Italian bakery in our neighborhood:
