Thanksgiving at the Beach

Tal, Savannah, and I spent several days celebrating Thanksgiving with Tal's family in Salter Path, NC. We arrived in time for our family's annual "Night Before Thanksgiving" dinner, which included steamed oysters and a low country boil (potatoes, shrimp, corn on the cob, and sausage). Delicious!

During our visit, Savannah got lots of love and attention. In fact, Grandma Barbara kindly volunteered to wake up with Savannah each night, so Tal and I could get some extra sleep. Sleep is priceless! Grandma Barbara also took Savannah shopping on Black Friday, so Tal and I could go golfing. It was a cold and windy afternoon, but Tal and I enjoyed our golfing date. :-)

On our trip home, our car got a flat tire when we were traveling on the highway. Thankfully, Tal changed the tire easily in 10 minutes, and we made it home safely. We enjoyed our restful holiday with family!

On the Move

Since Savannah learned to crawl last week, she's been going farther and faster. Watch the video below to see our girl in action:

Bundle of Joy

Meeting Santa

On Saturday, Savannah sat on Santa's lap for the first time. Thank goodness Grandma Barbara was there to comfort Savannah when she started crying. Hopefully, Savannah will be happier the next time we visit Santa... :-)

Here are a couple more photos from our day of shopping and visiting Santa:

Crib Notes

Note to self: lower Savannah's crib mattress.

A couple times over the last week, Tal and I walked into Savannah's room and discovered a cute little redhead peeking above her crib.

Currently, Savannah can pull herself up to her knees. It won't be long before she's able to stand on her own!

9 Months Old!

I am 9 months old!

Daddy makes me smile.

Isn't Daddy silly?

I like to sit in the deep end of the bath tub.

I like when Mommy reads to me
at bedtime each night.

I help turn the pages...

...and try to eat the corners.

I like to wave my hands.

I can stand (with assistance) for several
minutes before my legs get tired.

I'm a happy-go-lucky little girl.

Most of the time, I'm content to
play with my toys.

Mr. Ducky (shown on the floor)
is one of my favorite toys.

I'm very curious and enjoy watching
everyone and everything around me.

This week I started crawling!

Right now I can only crawl a few feet
before I need to rest.

Just wait, though, I'll be on the move soon!

Just a Sip

Over the last couple weeks, our sweet Savannah has mastered drinking from a sippy cup. She now drinks water from her sippy cup at all three meals but still takes her milk in bottles in between meals and at bedtime. We're excited to see Savannah become more independent!
