Trash Can Enclosure: Part 1

This week Tal started building a lattice enclosure for our trash cans, so they won't be visible from our street.

He dug four holes and set the posts:

Next, Tal framed the platform and ramp:

Then, today he installed the planks on the platform and ramp for our trash cans:

This week Tal will work on installing the rails and lattice for our trash can enclosure:

Summer Vacation: Part 6 (Adventure Landing)

On Friday night, our family (along with my mom and niece Mya) had a enjoyable evening at Adventure Landing. Mya and Savannah played the arcade games and then rode the go carts with Tal. After Adventure Landing, we ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant!

This is my last summer vacation post! Our family has had a fun, adventurous, and relaxing week with Grandma Judy and Mya. We hugged them goodbye last night, and we look forward to seeing Grandma Judy again in October!

Summer Vacation: Part 5 (Everyday Moments)

Life...unedited.
These random iPhone photos are dark, blurry, and untouched,
but they capture everyday moments from our summer vacation with my mom and niece Mya that I want to remember forever.

Mya and Grandma Judy just arrived!

Storytime with Grandma Judy

Hadley sat on the kitchen counter and helped Grandma Judy wash the dishes:

One evening we got an after dinner treat at Duck Donuts:

The cinnamon and sugar donuts were our favorite!

After a day on the beach, Hadley and I came inside, so she could take a nap:

Tired from playing in the sun:

Savannah, Hadley, and Mya were exhausted from playing in the ocean and pool all day:

All 3 girls fell asleep on the hotel sofa bed:

Hadley looked adorable with goggles on her head:

Summer Vacation: Part 4 (Trampoline Park)

Earlier this week, the girls and I (along with my mom and my niece Mya) went to a local trampoline park for a morning of fun and exercise. The trampoline park had wall-to-wall trampolines, foam pits, and obstacle courses. Everyone had a great time, and we were all hot, sweaty, and tired when we finished jumping!

Hadley is 21 Months Old!

Hadley is 21 months old! She has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. She weighs 24 lbs. and wears 24-month clothes. She sleeps in a big girl bed. She prefers to sit in a chair at the kitchen table (instead of in a high chair or booster seat). Hadley doesn't talk a lot, but she is observant. She has a million-dollar smile and an infectious giggle. She is full of personality and energy. Hadley is physically strong, as well as fearless, stubborn, and strong-willed. She loves climbing, playing in water, and coloring with crayons. Hadley is going to be a leader (and maybe a gymnast) someday!
