Standing Tall

Savannah's legs are getting longer and stronger. Right now she can stand for about 10 seconds before her legs buckle.

Last week, Savannah measured over 27 inches, which puts her in the 90th percentile for height. Savannah has grown nearly 7 inches since she was born 6 months ago!

Under Contract!

My sister Renee and I put our house on the market 9 days ago. Today we accepted an offer to buy our house!

We're trusting that all of the final details fall into place over the next few weeks, so we can close on September 30.

For Sale

My sister Renee and I are selling the house that we bought together four years ago. Renee moved back to Illinois this week, and Tal and I aren't interested in being landlords.

Over the last week, Renee, my mom, and I have worked hard to paint, clean, and stage the house, which went on the market on Friday.

Renee and I are sad to let go of our house. There are so many aspects of the house that we still love--like the corner lot, fenced backyard, and cathedral ceilings. However, we know that it's the right time for us to sell. We're praying that someone falls in love with our house and enjoys it as much as we have!

Moving On

Everyone in my family agrees that my sister Renee made the right decision when she moved back to Illinois this week. I know my mom and brother will thoroughly enjoy having Renee nearby.

However, I'm going to miss Renee terribly. I'm going to miss seeing her every week. For the last 9 years, Renee's been my best friend and nearest relative in NC. I'm going to miss having someone in my family nearby to hold Savannah, share in her milestones, and watch her grow up.

Now that Renee has moved away, I'm more determined than ever to seek out new friendships, stay in touch with my family, and cherish the 3-4 times each year that I see my relatives.

6 Months Old!

My mommy and daddy call me Savannah Banana.

They can't believe I'll be 6 months old this week.

My mommy and daddy laugh when I make silly faces.

I like when Mommy and Daddy take me for a walk
around our neighborhood.

This week I've been sticking out my tongue a lot
and learning how to sputter.

I like green beans and peas.
I kinda like carrots, but I'm not too fond of squash.

Daddy and Mommy say that I'm a good little girl
and that I'm a happy, smiling baby almost all of the time.
They love me to pieces!

All in the Family

Before Savannah was born, Tal and I used to wonder, "Will Savannah have blue or green eyes? Will she have blonde hair or no hair?"

Well, now we know that our little sweetheart has Daddy's blue eyes. Quite surprisingly, Savannah also has red hair, which she inherited from multiple relatives on both sides of our families.

In the pictures below, Tal, Savannah, and I are all around 6 months old. You can decide for yourself who Savannah resembles. I'll let you know, however, that at least 9 out of 10 people say that Savannah looks like Tal. :-)
