Grandma's Girls

This weekend our family traveled to Salter Path to celebrate Grandma Barbara's birthday! We enjoyed eating dinner at Golden Corral, going to church with our family, and eating a yummy lunch for Homecoming.

Cousin Sleepover

This weekend Savannah (10), Hadley (almost 5), and Harper (6) had a cousin sleepover at Grandma Barbara's house! They enjoyed playing, giggling, and sleeping on the giant air mattress in Grandma's living room.

Family Photos 2019

Our family isn't sending out Christmas cards this year. We aren't hiring a professional photographer to take our annual family photos. Instead, this weekend we did a quick photo shoot at the park in our neighborhood. We spent zero dollars and shopped our closets for outfits. I love our little family!

Everyday Moments

Life...unedited.
These random iPhone photos are dark, blurry, and untouched,
but they capture everyday moments from the past week.

Savannah finished another book in the Thea Stilton series:

Hadley likes to hang out with me while I exercise on the weekends. This morning she snuggled on the trampoline with her blanket and pillow:

Thanks to my friend Amanda for sharing the pictures below of Hadley and Tyson at the pumpkin farm:

Below are highlights from Hadley's week at preschool:

Hadley made a family tree with her handprint:

Hadley said that she helps at home by picking up her toys:

This week Hadley's class talked about family, and then Hadley created a book about families. She wrote that our family likes to play hide and seek together:

When I asked Hadley about our family rule, she said that our family is always cleaning up. Haha!

Pumpkin Farm

Today the girls and I went to the pumpkin farm with our friends Amanda and Tyson. We enjoyed playing in the corn bin, sliding down the giant slide, and picking out pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day to spend time with friends, as well as get some fresh air, sunshine, and exercise. Happy Fall!

Everyday Moments

Life...unedited.

On Monday, Savannah and I took the afternoon off from school because we had dentist appointments. Savannah chose Moe's for our lunch date before we went to the dentist:

Hadley enjoyed an ice cream treat while Savannah was at gymnastics:

The tooth fairy came to our house this week! Savannah lost tooth #7. (She hadn't lost a tooth since May 2017). She was sooo excited to find $2 under her pillow when she woke up in the morning:

On Friday night, Tal went camping with his F3 buddies, so the girls and I had a girls night. We ate dinner at Cici's Pizza (the girls' choice), visited a couple stores, and had a slumber party:

On Saturday, the girls and I drove four hours to see my friend Emily's family in the Washington, DC area. Thanks to Emily's husband David who took care of the kids, so Emily and I could go out to lunch together:

David took the kids to McDonald's for lunch and then to REI to buy skewers to make s'mores.

Hadley adores Emily's cat Spoof (whom Hadley calls "Smoof").
Hadley was thrilled when Smoof sat in her lap on her teal blanket:

Whenever we visit, Emily always does a good job planning craft activities. The kids loved making Halloween suncatchers and painting ceramic magnets:

After dinner, the kids roasted marshmallows in Emily's fireplace and made s'mores.
So fun and yummy!

This afternoon Tal took the girls and their friend Liza to the free slime event at the public library in our neighborhood. They each made three bags of slime: pom-pom, bubble gum, butter slime.
