Name the Baby

Vote for Baby Anderson's name! Join the fun and select the name(s) you like the best from our list of favorites. Cast your vote on our blog's right sidebar.

P.S. We've already picked a boy name and a girl name for the baby, but we thought it'd be fun to see how many of you choose the same names. :-)

We're Expecting a Baby!

We're thrilled to announce that we're expecting our first baby! I'm 10 weeks pregnant, and our baby is due in early February (just a few weeks before March Madness begins). :-)

Tal thought it was pretty cool that he found out he was going to be a daddy on his dad's birthday (June 5).

I was shocked when the pregnancy test was positive on June 5. Tal and I have wanted a baby for so long that I could hardly believe that one of our dreams was coming true.

In fact, it wasn't until we saw the ultrasound photos five weeks later that I really believed I was pregnant (even though I have almost every pregnancy symptom in the book).

That's why I took 8 pregnancy tests in five weeks. They're all positive. :-)

Hello, Baby Anderson!

Last Thursday was one of the most exciting moments in our lives. I had my first ultrasound, and we saw pictures of our baby for the first time.

At 10 weeks, the baby is just 3 cm long (about the size of a prune). However, as you can see below, our baby's head, feet, arms, legs, elbows, and knees have already developed.

This week, the baby will grow another half-inch and develop individual fingers and toes, as well as fingernails and toenails.

At our next appointment on August 14, we'll hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. What an emotional moment that will be!

4th of July Weekend

We spent a relaxing holiday weekend with our family in Salter Path, NC. On Thursday, Tal, Barbara, Benny, and I were pleased to receive the proceeds from this year's golf tournament, which raised $27,362 for the Harold Anderson, Jr. Memorial Fund.

The memorial fund was established in honor of Tal's dad who passed away in 2003. Over the last five years, the fund has raised more than $125,000 for local charities in Eastern NC.

On Friday, Tal and Benny went golfing. Afterwards, we walked, swam, and sunned at the beach.

Before heading home, we topped off our weekend with shrimp burgers and super cheeseburgers from El's Drive-In, Tal's favorite restaurant. Yummy!
