Shrine of Liberty

The Alamo

On Friday, Tal and I visited the Alamo, which is located in downtown San Antonio. On March 6, 1836, the Alamo made its mark in history when 188 men died after being attacked by Santa Anna's troops. Today the Alamo is a symbol of the state's independence and courage.

Stayed in hotel right across the street. I forgot the name, but it was named after a woman that had some historical relevance to San Antonio. Looked right out the window right onto the Alamo. Hard to believe that it is right down town.
