Girls Beach Weekend

Our family has really enjoyed having my mom and cousin Hanja stay with us from January 5-22 while Savannah is tracked-out from school.

Over MLK Day weekend, all 5 of us girls vacationed at Wrightsville Beach. When we arrived on Saturday, we ate lunch at The Oceanic, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. After lunch, we walked on the beach and on The Oceanic Pier. The beach was crowded because the weather was beautiful and sunny with temps in the 60's.

My cousin Hanja, who is 29 years old, saw the ocean for the first time!

Hadley (15 months) enjoyed playing in the sand!

On Sunday morning, we took a day trip to Southport, NC.
First, we ate breakfast at McDonald's,
where Savannah and Hadley also played in the play area:

Then, we drove through the coastal NC towns of Wilmington, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach.
At Fort Fisher, we boarded the ferry and rode 30 minutes to Southport, NC:
