Coronavirus Chronicles: Part 6

During the last 11 weeks, our family has practiced social distancing and worked from home. Our state entered Phase 2 of reopening. Stores, sit-down restaurants, and hair salons have reopened with restrictions.  Gyms, playgrounds, libraries, and churches remain closed. We haven't seen our extended family in nearly 4 months.

Savannah and I have two more weeks of online learning. This week Savannah is having her drive-through 5th grade graduation, and I am cleaning up my library for the school year.

After Tal and I put Hadley to bed, she snuck out of her bed, and slept in the sleeping bag in her closet with her blankets and buddies Puppy and Millie.

The girls went camping and had a picnic in their RV (my SUV):

Hadley used her chore money to buy a sparkly Frozen watch. She was so excited to wear a watch like everyone else in our family!

The girls' dolls took a nap in our guest bedroom:

Hadley made a cozy spot in our living room bookcase:

Hadley asked me to curl her hair, which has grown so much during the quarantine!

On Sunday, our family worshiped at an outdoor church service:

This weekend our family went to the state farmers market, where we bought some peaches...

...and an assortment of cookies from The Cookie People. Our favorite cookie flavors were the molasses, caramel and butterscotch, sugar cookie with sprinkles, and root beer!

On May 11, Tal and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary. As an anniversary gift, we bought ourselves a pressure washer. Today Tal and I spent 5 hours pressure washing our front steps, sidewalk, and driveway. It was a time consuming but rewarding process to remove several years of dirt and grime. Our curb appeal has improved!

While we were pressure washing our driveway, the Kona Ice truck drove down our street. Hadley got a cotton candy sno-cone, while Savannah got a blue raspberry sno-cone:
