Congrats to our sweet Savannah who graduated from preschool on June 12!
It meant a lot to us that Gran, Grandaddy, and Grandma Barbara
drove 3 hours to attend Savannah's graduation:
The program included four songs, which Savannah and her classmates had been practicing for months. Savannah knew all of words and motions and performed with lots of energy and enthusiasm:
During the song Down by the Bay,
the students took turns holding up signs and saying parts of the song.
For example, Savannah said, "Have you ever seen a cat...sliding on a mat?"
She did a great job!
We were so impressed with how well the 24 graduates
followed directions and behaved appropriately during the 30-minute program:
At the end of the ceremony, there was a slideshow in which each student shared what he/she would miss about preschool. Savannah said that she would miss playing in dramatic play!
(Savannah loved playing family and dressing up as the Mommy or sister in dramatic play.)

The graduation theme was "Oh, the Places You'll Go,"
which was based on Dr. Seuss's book with the same name:
The graduation and reception were beautfully decorated
in pink, yellow, purple, and blue:
The cupcakes for the graduates included Dr. Seuss quotes from the book:
Wherever you fly,
you'll be the best of the best,
wherever you go,
you will top all the rest.
Our preschool graduate!
Savannah had an excellent preschool experience. The students, teachers, and administration were outstanding. Not only did Savannah love her friends and teachers, but she graduated well-prepared for Kindergarten!
