Sod Summer: Part 5

Right now our front yard isn't pretty, 

but hopefully it will be after we lay sod within the next couple weeks: 

Last Saturday, Tal and I used a sod cutter 

to cut up the grass in our front yard:

In the evenings last week, Tal and I worked hard to roll up the sod 

and throw it in the back of Tal's truck:

Over the last week, Tal and I have filled and dumped two truckloads 

of sod and dirt at the landscape landfill:

Yesterday, we rented a tiller to break up 

dirt clods and stubborn roots. While Tal tilled the soil, 

I dumped shovelfuls of dirt and sod into the back of Tal's truck:

Tal and are planning to put down compost next weekend 

and then lay sod over Memorial Day weekend!
