On October 12, our family (along with Grandma Judy and Duane) took a day trip
to Salter Path to celebrate Tal's grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary:
All of our immediate family was present to celebrate Gran and Grandaddy's special day:
When we arrived in Salter Path, Savannah insisted on swinging in
HER swing on Grandma Barbara's porch:

...and then on Gran and Grandaddy's porch
(where they got a push from Savannah):
Then, we walked on the boardwalk behind Grandma Barbara's house that leads to the ocean:

(who were allowed to drive on the sand with their their 4-wheel drive trucks since it was after Labor Day):

Then, it was time for Gran and Grandaddy's party at the church:
Here's a picture of Gran and Grandaddy when they got married 60 years ago:
During the church service, nephew Joe shared how Gran and and Grandaddy's
legacy has impacted his life in a positive way:
Then, Gran and Grandaddy's children (Barbara, Keith, and Kenny) shared stories from their childhood, as well as how their parents set an example of love, happiness, and faith while they were growing up:
Tal's Grandaddy Anderson (shown below in the red tie)
officiated Gran and Grandaddy's vow renewal ceremony:
"You may kiss the bride!"
"And now I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Smith!"
After the service, everyone headed to the church fellowship hall for some grub:
Barbara and her cousins spent many hours preparing the food:
They decorated the fellowship hall in fall colors:

Chicken Wings

On the tables, there were pumpkin centerpieces filled with mints.
Gran and Grandaddy were "mint to be!"

We had a wonderful time celebrating Gran and Grandaddy's milestone anniversary!
