Everyday Moments

Life...unedited.
These random iPhone photos are dark, blurry, and untouched,
but they capture everyday moments from this week.

Hadley loves to take naps with me on the weekends:

The girls helped Tal make brownies and blondies:

On Halloween, Savannah participated in the Book Character Parade at school. She dressed up as a cheerleader and carried a nonfiction cheerleading book in the parade:

After the Book Character Parade, Savannah enjoyed going on the 5th grade field trip to the science museum downtown:

On Halloween night, we enjoyed trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Savannah was a cheerleader, and Hadley was Elsa from Frozen:

The Book Fair is going on in my library until November 15! On November 1, Savannah visited the Book Fair with her class and enjoyed making a wish list while she looked at books. The same day, Savannah's class served as Book Fair buddies to a 1st grade class. Savannah walked around the Book Fair with a 1st grade student and wrote down 5 books that he wanted to buy from the Book Fair.

Savannah read 5 books in October! She has been participating in our county's reading program. In October, Savannah achieved the reading goal by reading 800 minutes in 8 weeks. She will receive two free tickets to a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game. She is looking forward to attending the game with Tal!

Today the girls and I practiced having good attitudes when things didn't go as planned. Today we had planned to go swimming and eat lunch at Popeye's...BUT the pool was closed for maintenance and Popeye's didn't have any chicken tenders. Instead, we played games at Chuck E. Cheese and ate lunch at Chick-fil-a. We made lemonade out of lemons!
