Summer Vacation 2018: Part 3 (Historic Yates Mill Park)

On Saturday, the girls and I, along with Grandma Judy and Miss Mary, met our friends Amanda and Tyson at the Historic Yates Mill Park, which is located about 30 minutes from our house. The park contains our county's last remaining gristmill. The water-powered mill was built in 1756 and is still operational today.

At the park, we hiked around the pond and through the forest, visited the mill, and ate a picnic lunch. We enjoyed getting some exercise, spending a couple hours outside, and seeing some beautiful sights, including the bridge, pond, mill, waterfall, and forest. The Historic Yates Mill Park is a treasure in our beautiful city!
