Braces

 Today Savannah started Phase 2 of braces! She got top braces today and will get bottom braces in August. Savannah will wear braces for 2 years. 

Last Day of School

Last day of 6th grade, Kindergarten, and 22.5 years of teaching. Virtual, in-person, asynchronous...we did it all in 2020-2021. It was a long, challenging year with many changes, but we acquired many new skills and practiced being resilient and having a positive attitude (even though it was difficult sometimes with daily temperature checks for several months, frequent sanitizing, mask wearing for 7 hours a day, social distancing, and limited interaction with friends). 7th grade and 1st grade...here we come in August! But first, it's time to rest and enjoy summer break!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to our favorite dad! After church, we picked up Popeyes for lunch and Krispy Kreme donuts for dessert. We love you, Tal!

For Father's Day gifts, the girls and I gave Tal an NC State shirt and cleaning wipes for his truck. The girls also colored pictures for Tal.

National Boards

2021 has been tough for our family. I got Covid. Tal started a new career.  I also spent too many hours renewing my National Boards certification...during one of the most challenging and exhausting school years in my 23 years of teaching. However, I persevered and submitted my National Boards portfolio this weekend. After a stressful year, I am going to rest, spend more time with Tal and the girls, and support Tal in his new professional endeavors.
