Below is a collage of memories from our summer vacation with Grandma Judy! We miss Grandma Judy already, but we will treasure the memories from our vacation and look forward to seeing her again at the end of December (weather permitting)!

Everyday Moments
Life...unedited.
These random iPhone photos are dark, blurry, and untouched,
but they capture everyday moments from the last couple weeks.
From July 9-19, Savannah attended Reading Camp at school. She made some adorable art projects, including this tissue paper butterfly puppet...
...and this tear paper collage:
Savannah finished chapter book #25!
Grandma Judy French braided Hadley's hair:
On July 20, Savannah started the first phase of her orthodontics treatment:
The orthodontist installed an expander in Savannah's mouth. Over the next 6 months, the expander will change the shape of Savannah's mouth from pointed to rounded. Savannah has been a trouper, but she's had a hard time eating hard foods and talking clearly. Plus, the expander has created some painful sores on Savannah's tongue:
After Savannah's orthodontist appointment, the girls and I went out to lunch with Grandma Judy and Miss Mary at Mod Pizza, where we made personalized pizzas and salads:
Savannah and Grandma Judy put together a 300-piece puzzle together!
On July 26, our family went to the beach music series with Grandma Judy:
We set-up our beach chairs and ate Chick-fil-a for dinner while we waited for the concert to begin:
Since Tal and I started Optavia 10 weeks ago, we have each lost 30+ lbs. Tal currently weighs 142 lbs. and went from size 38 pants to size 34. Since Tal has reached his goal weight, he bought a new wardrobe from Jos A. Bank a couple weeks ago. Tal looks like a PGA golfer in one of his new outfits below:
After Tal got his new wardrobe, he cleaned out his side of the closet, filled three bags with clothes that were too big, and donated them to Goodwill:

Summer Vacation 2018: Part 7 (Wrightsville Beach)
The girls and I spent four days at Wrightsville Beach with Grandma Judy and Miss Mary. During our stay at Wrightsville Beach, it rained most mornings. However, the skies cleared in the afternoons, and each day we were able to enjoy several hours in the sun with mild summer temps in the 80's.
Savannah and Hadley enjoyed playing in the sand, while my mom and I sat in our beach chairs and watched the ocean waves. Each day we went back-and-forth between playing in sand, dipping our hands and feet in the ocean, and swimming in the hotel pool. It was a beautiful and relaxing trip!
Savannah wrote her name in name in the same and included this message: "I love you Hadley and you love me."
