Grandfather Mountain

On September 26, the 8 of us walked across the mile-high swinging bridge on Grandfather Mountain. To get to the bridge, we hiked 0.5 miles. It was a strenuous hike. We climbed wet and muddy rocks on a steep incline to get to the top of the mountain.

After hiking to the top of the mountain, we crossed the swinging bridge that was suspended one mile in the air. Unfortunately, it was a foggy day, but on a clear day we could've seen some beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain.

Can you see the bridge below?

Hiking under the swinging bridge

The 0.5 mile hike down the mountain was narrow, wet, and muddy. We had to walk carefully so we wouldn't slip and fall on the wet rocks.
