Bald Head Island

The girls and I took Grandma Judy on a day trip to Bald Head Island. We drove 2.5 hours to Southport, NC. Then, we parked our car at the ferry terminal and took a 20-minute ferry ride to Bald Head Island. Cars were not allowed on the island, so we wore backpacks and rented a golf cart to explore the beautiful and peaceful island. We visited Old Baldy Lighthouse, the beach, and some stores.

Unfortunately, the weather was pretty miserable. It was cold, windy, and rainy, so we were not able to spend the day on the beach like we planned. However, the girls were troopers and showed positive attitudes even though they were cold and wet most of the day.
