Outer Banks 2019: Part 2 (Cape Hatteras Lighthouse)

On July 17, the four of us took at one-hour ferry ride from Ocracoke Island to Hatteras Island. Then, we drove 20 minutes to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was built in 1870. It has black and white spirals and is the most well-known and tallest lighthouse in NC...and the 5th NC lighthouse (out of 7) that Savannah and Hadley visited!

Twenty years ago this month, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was moved 2,900 feet. The move took 23 days!
