OBX Birthday Beach Trip: Part 3 (Bodie Island Lighthouse)

After Amanda and I climbed the sand dunes at Jockey's Ridge, we drove 15 minutes to the Bodie Island Lighthouse before we headed home. The Bodie Island Lighthouse has black and white horizontal stripes and is one of seven lighthouses along the coast of NC. The lighthouse is 156 feet tall, has 214 steps inside, and is surrounded by marshes, ponds, and trees. The Bodie Island Lighthouse is a beautiful landmark in our state!
