OBX Birthday Beach Trip: Part 1 (Kill Devil Hills)

On May 2-3, my lifelong friend Amanda and I took a girls trip to the Outer Banks of NC to celebrate our birthdays. (Amanda's birthday is on May 16, while my mine is on May 18.)  We drove three hours to Kill Devil Hills, where we checked into our oceanfront hotel. Then, Amanda and I enjoyed walking on the beach to the pier and then sitting in our beach chairs...just watching the ocean waves for a couple hours. Thanks to our husbands for taking care of our kids, so we could rest, recharge, and explore some local sights for a couple days. Our Outer Banks trip was the perfect birthday gift to ourselves!
