Covid Chronicles: Part 28

After school on Tuesday, our family hiked/biked 1.4 miles on the Smith Creek Trail.

On Friday night, the girls played on the new playground at Blue Jay Point, and then we hiked down to Falls Lake.

Can you see the lake through the trees?

Today the girls and I had a playdate at Yates Mill Park with our friends Amanda and Tyson.

We hiked one mile around the pond and then visited the waterfalls at the historic gristmill.

After hiking at Yates Mill Park, we enjoyed eating Howling Cow ice cream, which is located and produced on NC State University's dairy farm.

Over the last two months, Tal and I noticed that our monthly water bill was $100 higher than usual. When the plumber crawled under our house, he discovered a busted water pipe under our master bedroom. The leak caused $12,000 in damage, but thankfully our homeowners insurance paid for the repairs. A restoration crew spent over a week removing the wet insulation, spraying microbial spray, and drying out our crawl space.
