This afternoon Savannah and Hadley participated in Slime Fest at the public library in our neighborhood. During the free one-hour event, the girls each made three bags of slime: slime buffet, floam, and butter slime. The library staff provided all of the supplies, as well as did all of the set-up and clean-up. The girls loved Slime Fest!
Mixing the water and glue
First, the girls made slime buffet. They mixed the water and glue, stirred in the cornstarch (the activator), and then added glitter, beads, pom-poms, and googly eyes to their slime mixture:

To make floam, the girls mixed water, glue, and cornstarch and then stirred in a cupful of foam beads:
To create butter slime, the girls mixed water, glue, and cornstarch and then added some orange food coloring so the slime resembled butter:
Savannah was excited to make slime with her school friend Sofia:
