Life...unedited.
These random iPhone photos are dark, blurry, and untouched,
but they capture everyday moments from this week.
For one of our meals this week, I made baked spaghetti:
Hadley (3)
Savannah was excited to check-out the chapter books below:
After checking out our books, the girls and I went to library storytime:
The girls loved using the sand shakers while they sang some songs:
But their favorite part is always the bubbles at the end of storytime:
On Monday morning, the girls and I went shopping for slime supplies at Target. While we were there, we enjoyed a mocha frappe and cookie from Starbucks (thanks to a gift card from one of my students):
First, the girls emptied all of the glue into the mixing bowl:
Then, they added the same amount of shaving cream:
They spent hours stretching and playing with their slime:
On Saturday afternoon, Hadley got ready to take her nap on the couch. I thought she looked adorable with her blanket:
While Savannah and I were doing laundry last weekend, we noticed that we had too many clothes hangers that were taking up too much space in our closets. We decluttered the hangers in all of our closets and recycled the ones below. We love the extra space in our closets!

When we woke up on Sunday morning, it was 9 degrees outside.
Too cold for NC!
After church on Sunday, the girls stood against our wooden growth chart ruler and asked me to see if they'd grown:
The markings on our growth chart are beautifully imperfect. Savannah (8) was thrilled to see that she had grown about 1/2 inch in the last 7 weeks:
Hadley (3)
In the last 4 months, Hadley has grown over an inch!
Savannah is building her reading stamina.
She finished chapter book #6!
On Monday morning, the girls and I went to the public library in our neighborhood to return our books and pick out some new books:
Below are the books that Hadley checked-out to help her practice counting, as well as reading her letters and numbers:

The storytime focused on words that started with the letter "p" (like the peacock on Savannah's name tag). All of the stories were about polar bears:

When we got home from Target, the girls were excited to make fluffy slime with shaving cream, Elmer's glue, contact eye solution, and food coloring:
First, the girls emptied all of the glue into the mixing bowl:

After adding some food coloring and contact eye solution, the girls stirred everything together and then started playing with the slime with their hands:

While Savannah was at gymnastics on Monday, Hadley and I went to the ice rink. Hadley enjoyed watching the figure skaters and hockey players. Brrrr!
This morning I enjoyed eating a leisurely breakfast with my girls on our last day of winter vacation. I've enjoyed making memories with them over the last 2.5 weeks!
This morning the girls and I went to storytime at the library in our neighborhood. All of stories and songs were about feelings:
The weather was gorgeous today! After having cold weather for the last couple weeks, today's weather was how winter in NC should be. Sunny and in the 60's. For the first time in two weeks, the girls and I left our boots at home and wore no socks with our shoes.
After eating lunch at Moe's today (kids eat free on Tuesdays), we got some exercise at the new park in our neighborhood. Savannah and I even saw 9 kids from our school (who were tracked-out from school like Savannah)!
Savannah spent a whole hour riding the zip line at the park:
When the girls and I got home from the park this afternoon, we made another batch of slime:
