Coronavirus Chronicles: Part 14

My grandma, who will be 105 on October 27, was moved to a nursing home on August 26. Due to Covid-19, the nursing home is on lockdown and no visitors are allowed. My grandma is being quarantined for two weeks. However, my mom still visits Grandma every day and talks to her outside through her bedroom window.

Hadley has enjoyed doing the early word puzzles in the book below. She can read all of the words in the book!

The girls and I arrive at school at 6:45 A.M. each day for temperature checks. The girls love eating mac and cheese for breakfast in my office until it is time to go to their classroom at 7:15 A.M.

Sadly, the Daddy-Daughter Dance was canceled in April due to Covid-19. At church today, Hadley loved wearing the turquoise sequin dress she picked out for the dance...as well as her gold sparkly high heels. She was a pretty princess!

On September 4, the governor opened playgrounds, which have been closed for nearly 6 months due to the pandemic. This weekend Savannah and Hadley were so excited to play at the park in our neighborhood. They loved swinging, climbing, and riding the zipline. To stay safe, we practiced social distancing and used hand sanitizer.

After playing at the park, we enjoyed eating sno-cones outside. Hadley got a unicorn sno-cone, while Savannah got a grape and mango sno-cone.
