Happy Birthday, Tal and Hadley!

Today our family celebrated Tal's 43rd birthday (Oct. 3) and Hadley's 2nd birthday (Oct 10)! We really enjoyed spending Columbus Day together as Tal and I were off from work, Savannah was tracked out from school, and my mom was here from Illinois:

This morning, the girls and I (along with Grandma Judy) went to storytime at the public library in our neighborhood.We had a great time singing fall songs and reading pumpkin stories:

Then, our family ate lunch at The Pit, which serves NC style BBQ in downtown Raleigh:

 

In addition to BBQ, we enjoyed eating hush puppies, biscuits with molasses, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, creamed corn, black-eyed peas, and Brunswick stew:

After lunch, we ate Chocolate Extreme ice cream cake (from Dairy Queen) for dessert:

Hadley was ready to blow out her birthday candles:
