Doors, Trim, and Hardware: Part 2

Over the last week, Tal took down the 12 doors in the upstairs of our house, removed the brass hardware, and spray painted the doors. He also finished painting all 12 door casings. 

 

Then, Tal hung the doors with our new hardware:

He installed new hinges, strike plates, and levers on each door:

For our new levers, we chose Kwikset's Tustin in Venetian Bronze:

Our new hardware coordinates beautifully with our 

ceiling fans, light fixtures, and curtain rods:

Tal and I have waited 5 looong years to get new hardware...and we love the results:

We are slowly updating our house, 

and having new hardware feels like an upgraded luxury!

This week Tal is taking down the 13 doors on our first floor, 

spray painting them, and installing new hardware. Stay tuned!
