This weekend we celebrated my niece Harper's 10th birthday. On Friday, we enjoyed having a family birthday dinner, as well as a cousin sleepover at Grandma Barbara's house. On Saturday, we walked on the beach next to Grandma Barbara's house, ate lunch at The Crab Shack, and went to Harper's swim birthday party.
On March 18, the girls and I got together with our friends Amanda and Tyson. We met at Fenton, which is an outdoor shopping experience. We enjoyed eating Honeysuckle Gelato, window shopping, and playing in the open green space.
This morning my mom and I joked about the 35-degree difference in temperatures in North Carolina and Illinois. While I was on my morning walk, I texted my mom this photo of the pink flowering trees in our neighborhood. My mom texted back that she woke up to 11-degree temps and snow on the ground. Two different kinds of beauty!
