Tal and I jokingly refer to the time from Mother's Day to my birthday as a "triple header." In the span of 7-10 days, we celebrate three major occasions.
We celebrated Mother's Day on May 9, our wedding anniversary on May 11, and my birthday on May 18.
Our triple celebrations included two of our favorite family activities: getting ice cream and going out to eat. On Mother's Day, we went out for ice cream and then drove around town and went to a park.
To celebrate our anniversary and my birthday, we ate dinner at a sit-down restaurant. We love having someone fix dinner for us once in awhile and clean up Savannah's messes (within reason, of course).
Our week of celebration was a perfect mix of food, family, and relaxation.

3 Years!
On May 11, 2007, Tal and I were married in a lovely (and hot) garden ceremony. Looking back, it's funny to remember the best man (Tal's brother) forgetting his tux and the pastor arriving late to our wedding.
In the days leading up to our big day, Tal was adamant that our wedding would start on time. Tal would joke about how we only needed three people to get married--the bride, the groom, and the pastor. Ironically, the pastor (and many guests) got stuck in traffic, and our wedding started an hour late. :-)

15 Months Old!
I am 15 months old!
I especially love to "talk" to the dogs
that pass our house. I get really excited!

This seat is a perfect size for me.
I love to sit on it and look at my books.

I can eat corn on the cob all by myself...
and I love it!

Mommy, Daddy, and I sit on our front porch every day.
We love to read stories outside and watch the people,
animals, and cars.

I love to climb up on the fireplace hearth.
I'm really good at getting down all by myself.

One day this week, I was so tired after school that
I fell asleep after my snack.

Waves of Fun
The last week was extra special because my mom stayed with us. My mom hadn't seen Savannah since September when she was 7 months old.
During my mom's visit, we played with Savannah a lot, spent two days relaxing at Wrightsville Beach, and visited some local gardens and parks.
We're sad to see Grandma Judy leave, but we hope to see her again this fall!

Savannah's First Steps!
A week ago, Savannah started walking! Savannah's milestone was even more special because my mom was here to see Savannah take some of her first steps. It's been very exciting to watch Savannah walk farther and faster over the last week.

Baby Talk
Watch the video below to see Savannah babbling as she browses through the magazines in our hotel room in Wrightsville Beach.
Busy Bee
We affectionately refer to Savannah as a "busy bee." She often entertains herself by moving from activity to another.
The video below was taken in our hotel room in Wrightsville Beach. Savannah discovered four coasters in a drawer. She happily spent 45 minutes opening and closing the drawer, taking the coasters in and out of the drawer, and moving them from the drawer to the coffee table.
