Playing in the Dirt

This evening, Savannah "helped" Tal and me
plant some impatiens in our front yard.

Savannah had lots of fun digging in the dirt, putting some

in her hair, and transferring handfuls of soil
from one pot to another.

The little stinker even pulled out the flowers below
AFTER I'd just planted them in the pot! :-)

Savannah got so dirty that we stripped her down
to her diaper before we took her inside
and gave her a bath.

Baby Steps

Although Savannah isn't walking yet, she's making progress! Savannah's stamina is improving, and she can walk farther and faster with assistance. Also, she does a good job walking when Tal and I hold her hands.

Somebunny Loves the Easter Bunny

...but it's not Savannah. Our scared Savannah howled when she sat on the Easter Bunny's lap this morning. Although poor Savannah didn't enjoy her first Easter Bunny experience, perhaps she'll laugh at these pictures in 20 years. :-)

Spring Fling

When I got home from school one day this week, I discovered my two sweeties playing in our front yard. I loved watching Tal hold Savannah's hands while she practiced walking. Savannah's excitement is so apparent in the photos below!

Roll Out the Carpet

Several weeks ago, Tal and I added this area rug to our living room:

Sahara Ogee Pastel Rug

We chose a colorful, patterned rug, which will hide dirt and stains better than a light, neutral rug. Plus, Tal and I are partial to bright colors, especially since Tal grew up at the beach.

The blue, green, and orange hues remind us of the ocean and coordinate with the other rooms in our house. In the coming months, we plan to add pillows and accessories to complement our new rug. Stay tuned!

13 Months Old!

I am 13 months old!

I love toys with music,
buttons, and lights.

I love to point at things,
especially at lights and fans.

I like sitting with Daddy
on the couch.

I don't eat much baby food anymore.
I prefer to eat whatever Mommy
and Daddy are eating.

I love to look out the window...

...talk to the birdies and bunnies,

...and pound on the window.

I love to take my pacifier in
and out of a cup!

I like lifting the flaps in my
Spot and Biscuit books.

I make a mess when I eat
corn on the cob--but I love it!

I like to play with my shoes...

...and put them in my mouth, too.

I've got rhythm like Daddy.
Look at me dance!

I like to play with Mommy's keys.

I love to clap my hands.

I'm not walking yet...

...but I'm really good at
cruising...

...and pushing Grandma
Barbara's suitcase on the
hardwood floors.

I bring a lot of joy to
Mommy and Daddy!
