My sister Renee and I are so thankful that the sale of our house became final today.
It's been a whirlwind the last six weeks with cleaning, packing, and moving.
However, we're thankful that our house sold quickly, at 97% of the list price, and with a decent profit.
We also give thanks that the selling process (overall) went smoothly and that Renee is getting settled in Illinois.

Grandma Barbara's Birthday!
Last weekend, the three of us celebrated Grandma Barbara's birthday in Myrtle Beach, SC with Tal's brother Benny and his girlfriend E.J.
On Saturday, Tal and Benny played golf, while we girls went shopping for some 12-month clothes for Savannah. It was an enjoyable and restful mini-vacation!

Check out Savannah Banana's first pair of shoes! Not only will they keep her feet warm this winter, but the soft soles will be perfect as Savannah learns to crawl in the coming weeks.

Flounder
Tal and I affectionately refer to Savannah as "flounder" because of the way she's been flopping around as she's been learning to crawl.
Watch our sweet Savannah as she tries to "swim" on the bed:

Packing Up
The house that my sister Renee and I own has been under contract since August 29.
On Tuesday, my mom and Renee flew into North Carolina. On Wednesday and Thursday, the three of us packed up Renee's belongings and loaded the moving truck.
Renee and Mom left on Thursday night and drove 17 hours straight until they arrived safely in Illinois around noon on Friday.
Our family is thankful that everything is going smoothly as we sell the house, which we're scheduled to close on September 30.

Labor Day Weekend
Tal, Savannah, and I had a wonderful time relaxing in Salter Path over Labor Day weekend. Savannah got lots of hugs and kisses from Great Grandma and Granddaddy Smith...
...and Grandma Barbara.
The rocking motion of the swing made Savannah fall asleep. :-)
Savannah went shopping with Grandma Barbara while Tal took me on a golfing date. Tal played three rounds of golf, while I happily rode along and read my magazines.
