Savannah received a good report when Tal and I took her to the pediatrician for her 6-week check-up today. When Savannah was born, she weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. Today she weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz., which puts her in the 50th percentile.
During the last six weeks, Savannah has grown over two inches--from 20.5 to 22.75 inches. She's in the 90th percentile for her height. Last weekend, Savannah graduated from her newborn to 0-3 month clothes. She's a growing girl!
Overall, Savannah has settled into an eating and sleeping routine. She eats 3-4 oz. every two hours during the day. Most nights Savannah sleeps in 2-3 hour stretches, and I wake up 2-3 times to feed her.
Over the last couple weeks, Savannah has been smiling and cooing more. We love her gummy grins and happy "ahh" sounds. Some of our favorite moments are when she smiles or laughs in her sleep. We'd love to know what Savannah's dreaming about!
Within the last week, Savannah has "discovered" her hands. She often puts her hands near her face, stares at her hands, or grabs my hair when I'm feeding her. We've enjoyed celebrating Savannah's discoveries with her!
