Our Newly Painted Shed

This weekend Tal and I painted our shed to match the cream and white exterior of our house. There isn't much contrast in the two colors, but as Tal says, "It's just a shed." (I think he's just happy we didn't paint the shed hot pink with lime green trim.) :-)

Tal's next project? Organizing the shed. Over the next couple weeks, Tal's going to install peg board and hooks to keep all of his tools organized.

Many Hands Make Light Work

After four months of researching, planning, and shopping, Tal's shed project came to fruition yesterday! On Saturday, Tal's mom, brother, and uncle pitched in to help us build an 8 x 8 storage shed in our backyard.

It was pretty impressive to watch everyone build the shed "from the ground up" in about eight hours. We're thrilled that we finally have a place to store our lawn mower, tools, and hedge trimmer. Our next project? Painting the shed next weekend!

Curtain Call

Over the last few weeks, Tal has helped me hang curtains throughout our house. With some paint on the walls and curtains on the windows, our house is starting to feel homier.

Picture Perfect

Here are some of the photos that we've hung in our house recently. So many happy memories of our families, wedding, and honeymoon!

Our Most Glamorous Home Improvement Project Yet

This is our "glamorous" new heating and air conditioning system that was installed a couple weeks ago. Our previous HVAC was 20 years old and didn't have enough power to heat and cool the downstairs AND upstairs in our house. With our new system, I don't miss sweating while getting ready in our bathroom every morning!

Play Ball!

Tal's baseball team is off to a winning start! After winning their first two games, Tal's team got a big boost of confidence. They're ready to play hard and have fun again this week. This is Tal's fourth year coaching 11 and 12 year-old boys in Little League baseball. He loves the game of baseball and strives to make a positive difference in the lives of his team.

A Welcome Spring Sight!

We breathed a sigh of relief when these azalea bushes bloomed in our front yard last week. We planted them last spring (before the drought), and we weren't sure they'd survive nine months with little rain. Thankfully, they did!
