Everyday Moments

Life...unedited.
These random iPhone photos are dark, blurry, and untouched,
but they capture everyday moments from the last couple weeks.

Savannah enjoyed baking and frosting cupcakes for us!
For her birthday, Savannah received a cupcake mix from our friends Amanda and Tyson.

On April 24, I had a teacher workday, so I picked up Chick-fil-a and ate lunch with Savannah in the school cafeteria:

Savannah stayed with Gran, Grandaddy, and Grandma Barbara for a week during her track-out from school. She loved getting this note from Gran and Grandaddy in the mail:

The girls rode on Tal's back when he got home from work:

On April 29, Hadley got her face painted at the NC State Women's Softball game:

Some birds built a nest outside our living room window. Over the last week, we've enjoyed watching the mama bird feed her baby birds:

This week Savannah took her chore money to our bank and opened a Fat Cat savings account!

As I've mentioned before, over the last couple years, Savannah has been earning $5 a week for an allowance. In order to get paid every Saturday, Savannah has to earn a "3" for good behavior from her teacher each day that week, as well as complete her chores (including her laundry below) in a timely manner and with a positive attitude. Savannah looks forward to getting paid and enjoys spending her money on iTunes music, toys, books, make-up, art supplies, and craft projects.(Aside from Christmas, Tal and I rarely buy any of these items for the girls.)

Over the last couple months, Savannah has saved a small amount of chore money but didn't have anything she wanted to spend it on, so she was excited to keep it safe in a savings account:

At the bank, Savannah got her picture taken for her debit card:

The girls loved going to the pet store while Tal got his haircut. The cats were their favorite!

Over the last 5 months, Savannah has read 15 chapter books!
Chapter Book #12

Chapter Book #13

Chapter Book #14

Chapter Book #15

The girls wrestled with Daddy when he got home from work:

Hadley loves when Savannah gives her a piggyback ride:

Every day Savannah earns a behavior grade from her teacher. Tal and I are always happy when Savannah gets a "3" for good behavior. In Savannah's school agenda, her teacher wrote that Savannah had an "awesome week!"

This evening Hadley and I had a girls night, while Tal and Savannah went golfing. We ate dinner and played at Chick-fil-a:
