Today Hadley (3) took her first trip to the dentist!
Since Hadley has a history of being scared in unfamiliar situations, I prepped Hadley ahead of time by having her watch YouTube videos about going to the dentist. Hadley also practiced reclining in her chair and opening her mouth for the dentist.
Today Hadley did a great job letting the dental hygienist brush her teeth, but unfortunately she refused to open her mouth for the dentist and let him count her teeth. Oh, well...at least Hadley didn't cry in the dentist office. Hopefully, next time Hadley will feel more comfortable and be more cooperative when she goes to the dentist in August.
The dental hygienist gave the girls tokens for the Treasure Tower:
Hadley was excited when she got two balls for being a good girl (no crying) at the dentist!
