Everyday Moments

Life...unedited.
These random iPhone photos are dark, blurry, and untouched,
but they capture everyday moments from the last couple weeks.

This week Hadley went back to the doctor to get another round of antibiotics to treat her staph infection:

She was such a big girl when the nurse took her temperature and checked her heart:

The nurse gave Hadley two princess stickers, and Hadley thought it was hilarious when she stuck them on her legs:

This week our family prepared for Hurricane Irma...although it doesn't look like the storm will impact us much in central NC. We stocked up on enough food, water, diapers, toilet paper, etc. for a week in case we lost power, stores were closed, or roads were impassable due to flooding or debris. We also got cash, propane for our grill, and gas in our cars. The good news is that we will be prepared for future storms...or use everything over the next few weeks.

While everyone else in Walmart was stocking up on hurricane supplies, the girls and I were picking out Halloween costumes. Savannah is excited to be a mermaid:

Hadley chose to be a pink butterfly (which she calls a "fly"):

This evening our family headed downtown for the last live music event of 2017. We enjoyed eating dinner, listening to music, and visiting stores downtown:

We got dinner from three different food trucks. The girls ate tequila lime chicken empanadas:

Tal ate jerk chicken:

I had a pork bbq sandwich:

After dinner, we all shared a sno-cone:

The girls loved getting some freebies, including fidget spinners, hand sanitizer, and sunglasses from some local vendors:

Before we headed home, the girls got monster balloons:

Hadley patiently waited for her balloon:
