New HVAC unit

This is our downstairs HVAC unit. It is 15 years old. It is ginormous, noisy, and unreliable. In fact, we have had our HVAC unit repaired 3 times in the last 7 months.

The good news is that our warranty company decided that it was more cost effective to replace our unit instead of repairing it. This week our new downstairs HVAC unit was installed! It's even bigger than our previous unit, but it's quieter (which our neighbors will appreciate) and more energy efficient. Tal and I are looking forward to having more reliable heating and cooling in our house, as well as saving more money on energy costs!

It was definitely time for that unit to be replaced. Generally, I use the frequency with which I have to do repairs to indicate when it's time to replace anything I own. After a while it becomes too expensive to keep fixing the same piece of equipment. I'm glad that your warranty company took that approach as well. The improved efficiency will be better for your budget.

I agree, it was due time to have that HVAC unit replaced and I am happy to hear that some of your troubles have been solved since you received the upgrade. I remember my old unit switching on, it was the only thing that could be heard. So annoying! It is amazing how much I put up with. I am so glad I got a new model as well.
